Hi all,
I'm a curious type, atheist, and have not been subjected to any indoctrination of religion in my life. My parents, if they have any belief, have always kept it to themselves and so is born the 'thinking atheist' for want of a better description.
Of course, as the years pass, a free thinking person naturally develops a curiosity for those that share the planet with him but have vastly opposing views on why we are here.
I've recently been involved in a deeply 'literal bible' christian forum to try and understand a little more about the people who knock on my door every year with books about god. I've been met with mixed reaction and it's been interesting.
Moving on from that, I had intended to join a Muslim forum to try and get an angle about what drives this particular belief and I stumbled upon this one and thought it may offer the same sort of answers but without the inevitable barriers that an atheist may encounter on said forum.
So, I may not be prolific with my posts just yet but I do look forward to finding out something about a subject that is outside of my understanding.
